Stage Wings also known as Leg Curtain or Wing Curtains. Stage Wings are narrow and tall, used to hide the side of the stage from the audience's view. They also provide masked wings for actors to enter and exit the stage. They are almost always black. These wings are used on sides of front curtain. Wings separate the different sections of the stage and provide an extra space for a new scene.
They differentiate between front stage mid-stage and backstage. Wings also help to mask the speaker system, panels and sidelights. They are usually flat panels, but they can also be curved or wavy. They serve the purpose of distributing sound evenly towards the entire audience and are designed in the manner to bounce the sound back to the audience in the best way possible.
