Structural Grid forms the basic element of Stage Design. Light, Set, Frill bars, curtains, frills, etc. are all suspended from this grid. The capabilities and flexibility a stage can have are defined by strength of the grid. Grid Structure is usually aluminium-framed wall containing in-fills of glass, metal panels, or thin stone.
We install complete fly system and stage tower in grid structure and overhead skydeck that blends into the architecture. The network of these frames allows handlers and managers to change settings of the stage, customise looks, add live loads, lighting plaks, wings, lifts and much more. Both the wall rigging and overhead deck are used to suspend curtains, equipments and blackouts. The pipes and fittings have to be really sturdy in order to withstand movement and weight. We ensure that our fittings come with proper fall protection and safety netting all of which remain hidden from the audience. Forestage support assists the stage designer in flexible ideas and capabilities. The most commonly used options are pipe grid, track grid and angle grid.
One of these or a combination can be used depending on the articles to be suspended and their engineering. The grid primarily bears loads of lights, bars, curtains and even people, but it can also be used for further expansion of stage.
